This is another photo shoot for INFO magazine, the October issue. Eddie just released a book of Poetry entitled "Carrying a knife into the Gunfight", hence the knife reference in the photo. I'm really excited how it turned out - I think he looks like a villian in a comic strip.

INFO Magazine
Well, I was hired to photograph the "Features" section of info magazine. It was a bit of a challenge at the format of that particular section of the magazine is an interview with a skinny strip of space left for the photo.
Here are the images that I came up with. Some of them are cropped to show how the image might appear in the mag.

Milwaukee International Film Festival
I just wanted to let everyone know that this year's film festival will be running from September 20th-30th. You can find a movie guide for free inside the Shepherd Express weekly newspaper or go to their website www.Milwaukeefilmfest.org. Movies are typically shown at the Oriental, Downer, and Times Cinema, with a few showings at the Art Museum as well.
If you have never been to the film festival, I strongly encourage you to go. It's grown exponentially, and it's so exciting to see the masses of people coming out to see independant films. And don't fret- Movies are for everyone, and there are many different types of movies at the festival from animation, to documentaries, to regular narratives. If you're having trouble figuring out where to start, I suggest going to the Milwaukee Filmmaker Showcase on September 27th at the Oriental Movie Theater, 7pm. There you will be able to watch a selection of short films, including the film Perceval that I worked on with Tate Bunker.
Another word of advice: if you show up at the theater for any of these movies right before they start, you will most likely not get in. I strongly advise you to purchase tickets ahead of time and arrive early for any movie that you wish to see. Even if it's a 9:00pm showing on a Tuesday night, I can tell you from experience that it will still be filled.
Hope to see all of you there!!

Want to feel good?
As a small business person, I know how much hard work and dedication it takes to run a sucessful business. But imagine how difficult it can be for someone in another country who is less fortunate? Well, recently I found this website called. www.Kiva.org where you can look at the business needs of people from other countries. For as little as $25, you can help give someone else a chance at supporting themselves. (Remember that saying, Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime?) Anyways, they also rate each vendor on a scale of 1 to 5 based on their ability to repay your loan, so you have the opportunity to get repaid and give the money to someone else!
So how about bringing a bit of good Karma into your life?

R.I.P. Henry Hobbs
Henry, you were loved dearly and I am so thankful that you were in my life, even if it was for a short amount of time. I miss you dearly, as does everyone who knew you. You will be missed and remembered in our hearts. I love you Henry.
