  • Wisconsin Film Festival: Ward Three

    “Ward Three”, a film that I did art direction for last summer, will be screening at the Wisconsin Film Festival this Friday, April 16th at 7:00 PM at Monona Terrace.

  • Assistant Professor of English and Film Studies

    Today I photographed a professor of Film studies for UWM. She needed some headshots for different things: proposals, the university, etc. We did some more “traditional” shots with a fresh edge. Then we decided to have some fun! Using inspiration from the film “Pierrot le fou” we created the last image that you see. I think it was a great idea to play off the idea of film since she teaches film studies! Yay!

    West Milwaukee native, Ryan Hader, has been inspiring Yoga practitioners with his moving and heartfelt offerings throughout Colorado for 5 Years. Versed in Anusara Yoga and trained in Vinyasa flow Yoga, Ryan Facilitates a space of alignment, personal empowerment, flow, and breath connection. In this full spectrum offerings, we will explore how to align the body with Muscular Energy, so as to experience true freedom and joy within the space of the body. This class is geared towards brand new beginners and intermediate practitioners of yoga.

    It has been a long term goal of Ryans to share the pratice that has shifted his life from Heavy Metal Frontman to one of Denvers most inspiring Yoga Guides, to his hometown of Milwaukee, WI. Being born to deaf parents, Ryan aspires to one day share his offerings with the hearing impaired. He is deeply honored and grateful to Jessica Kaminski for offering the space to host this class offering. Please Join Ryan for this moving and heartfelt immersion.

    As if Spring weren’t enough to be excited about, you can now also get amped about the seventh PechaKucha Night in Milwaukee. PechaKucha Night was started in Tokyo as a non-profit and is now run in 295 cities globally. For the Milwaukee franchise, we donate all the event money above costs to the foundation to help support the global websites and enable the foundation to do greater things.

    The 20 (image) x20 (seconds) PechaKucha presentations will include topics such as starting a creative business in Milwaukee, architectual efficiencies, analog synthesizers, education through bike building, cultural acceptance, and much more.

    Featuring Emmett Gross, Steve Vebber, Andreanna Drencheva, Jim Schoenecker, Katie Sorenson, Jessica Kaminski, Mike Rohde, and more, this night is not to be missed to get a true glimpse into Milwaukee’s creative minds.
