June 16th: Digital Work Flow with Peggy Morsch
You’ve taken the photo, now what? DAM, or Digital Asset Management has become the lifeline for any photographer working in the digital age. We’ll start with cards, flow
into computers and software and end up talking about “Star Wars” things called RAIDS and Drobos. By the end of this class you will be able to set up your own DAM system. (joke intended!)

Nearly 30 years has passed since Peggy Morsch began to experience and relate to the world with her camera. From published nature work to commissioned portrait work, Peggy has enjoyed sharing her bold images and generous knowledge with others. She’s a member of PPA and ASMP and will always be a student of photography. www.peggymorsch.com

Whether he is meeting a CEO of a large company or an artist who spends most of their time in nature, Troy is always able to come away with an honest, sincere portrait. While at Cardinal Stritch University, his eyes were opened to the photos of Irving Penn, Mark Seliger, Robert Frank and Eugene Richards. The work from these photographers continues to inspire his work in weddings, editorial and personal work. www.TroyFreund.com

July 7th: Pricing for Commercial and Fine Art with Larry D’Atillio

Lawrence D’Attilio is a fine art photographer whose work has covered various locations in the world. His work has been seen in Hanoi, Vietnam, Milan, Italy, and Milwaukee and Brookfield, Wisconsin. Deone will talk about the different types of Usage Rights that you can offer to a client, how to include the wording in your contracts, and how to be clear with your clients about what they are and are not allowed to use your photographs for.

Twenty years of making pictures has brought Deone full circle to her first love – photographs for the music industry. Subsequent work has included projects for record labels, agencies, instrument manufacturers and other businesses that support musicians and music. • Stu- Stu- Studio!

Next week Tuesday I am officially signing a lease on a studio in the Third Ward! I am excited about having a new space! I am looking to use it as a multi-purpose space, which would include studio, meeting area, and a place to teach my classes.

I will be located in the Arts Building with other creatives. The building is typically open for the Gallery Nights downtown, so in the future I may partake in some gallery shows as well.

As soon as I get things situated, I will post images of my new space. I can’t wait!

Also, I am working on a new set of classes, and now that they finally will have a permanent home, I will be able to post them soon. Look for another beginner photography class, as well as a class designed for individuals looking to branch out on their own as freelance photographers. I am also working on a visiting photographer class which will revolve around portraiture. Even though I will be posting class notices on here, I have created another blog just for my classes which you can view at www.jessicakaminski.blogspot.com

    Stay tuned…..

  • THE KNOT BEST OF WEDDING MAGAZINE

    J Kaminski Photography RECOGNIZED IN
THE KNOT BEST OF WEDDING MAGAZINE

Annual Survey of Recently Married Couples in Milwaukee
    Reveals Top Wedding Vendors

J Kaminski Photography is pleased to announce it has been selected as a 2008 Pick for The Knot Best of Weddings magazine, a coast-to-coast, by-brides-for-brides guide to the top wedding sites, photographers, florists, and more in over 40 key cities across the United States published by The Knot Inc. (www.theknot.com), the #1 wedding website and most trusted wedding resource.

The Knot conducted its second annual survey of over 20,000 recent brides to capture detailed feedback on every business that couples hired for their wedding celebration.

Milwaukee newlyweds contributed their raves and reviews on the area’s wedding professionals. The newlyweds were asked to rate their vendors on multiple criteria, from creativity to professionalism, and to comment on their experiences. The resulting ratings—and detailed feedback—were aggregated by the editors of The Knot to create this one-of-a-kind publication highlighting the best wedding resources in each region according to local brides. The survey was administered by Harris Interactive.

I am thrilled to be recognized among such a talented group of peers. I hope you will join us in celebrating this tremendous accolade.

    Sincerely,
    J Kaminski Photography
