  • Matthew and Jennifer

I learned at the ceremony that Matthew and Jenny have atually known each other since kindergarten! No – they haven’t been dating this whole time. In fact, I believe Jenny tried to set up Matt with her friends, and vice versa. There must be a special level of comfort in knowing someone for so long.

Even though I didn’t get to know Matt and Jenny as well prior to the wedding (because they don’t live in Milwaukee), I felt right at home. It was a blast being with the girls getting ready, and watching that unique way that all families have of communicating with each other. And I know that my assistant, Ashley, had a great time with the guys and their “construction shots” (view below).

Maybe it’s just difficult not to feel like you get to know a person a bit when you experience the whole wedding day with them as a photographer.

  • Photo of the Day!

Becky and Peter. Fun with shadows!! The fun thing about this wedding was that it was outside. Saturday happened to be a hot and very windy day. As soon as Becky got to the front, and huge gust of wind came and the marriage certificate blew into some nearby water! Luckily, one of the guests took his shoes off and went after it while all of the guests cheered him on. (And the heat dried the certificate by the time the ceremony was over!)
